Guy Friends!
I was reading Ms.Frappuccino's latest blog entry titled "Flirting", and it led me to think about the guy friends i have. I think I have many MANY more close guy friends then girls, with a couple of exceptions of my bestfriend who is like a sister to me :)
But I've noticed I get along better with guys, and when i'm being myself, I'm a lot like a guy!!! Now with that said. I can be very girly! and need the gossip sessions and sleepovers!
My question to you is:
Do you have better with friendships with members of the opposite sex?

at first: i completely do not! But as i get to know them more, which rarely happens, we really become good friends and they're the one i trust.
EX: i LOVE hugs, more than i love guys (seriously) and there's this one guy friend i can ALWAYS, 100000% of the time trust that when i see him (and when we're not in a rush to get to class....) that he will go "SISTER ANYA!!! (because we're all secretly nuns...big joke haha) *hug*" It's just who he is. But i have significantly more girls for friends...which is sad, but online-- i talk to more of my guy friends who...are obviously only online.
I'd say both, just depends on my mood and who i meet ^.^
yeah I agree with you, I've always been a bit of a tomboy, and have always had closer relationships with my boy cousins and guy friends. I do have my girl friends which I think are really important because there are some situations where you need other girls' support, but when it comes down to it I'd rather go dirtbiking than do my hair.
My #1 best friend is a guy, because he's the only person who can truly get me for everything I am. But otherwise, they're all girls. I just get along with girls better. Most guys don't get me in the least. Or at least I can't talk to them the same way.
@anyagirl16 - Once again, evidence that Anya is the nicest, sweetest person on datingish. I see her comments everywhere, and they never fail to make a person smile.
i agree with that last comment. i see her comments where ever i go! lol
and thank you to everyone who commented and shared their side!
I find that although I tend to click with guys quickly, my best friendships are still with the female population. Experience has taught me that although it is fun to "hang with the guys" sometimes, it doesn't always bode well with the significant other. Therefore, with every new guy friend I have becomes a guy friend for him as well. It really cuts down on the jealousy aspect and makes it so much easier to say "Hey, let's go hang out with guy tonight!"
As a guy ... I find myself with closer friendships with girls more than guys. I'm not a girly guy or anything, but at this age sometimes guys are very immature and I don't like the constant need for cursing or calling out a hot girl. Playing sports or hanging at a video arcade or something, I'm totally chill but overall I really enjoy the maturity that most girls have and they do things enjoyable and peaceful without the annoying @!#%$ every few sentence or some immature action like ball tapping.
Also girls are easier to talk to, as I think most guys would feel. Guys dont' share their feelings to guys ... until they become wiser and maturer. But that doesn't mean they have better friendships with opposite sex. But it seems to be the way for me.
Back at college my two best friends are both guys. I feel so much more comfortable around them and telling them things than I do any of the girls. I just feel more.. relaxed I guess and it's a nice feeling. They're also nice to go to when I need to get inside of a guy's head to find out what the heck they're thinking.
But yes, all-in-all I definitely think that they work out great, if not better.
